How E-Books and Audio Downloads WorkAre you tempted by the idea of receiving your book or audio download order in just minutes? Would you like to have the option of printing multiple copies of reproducible worksheets right from your computer, rather than running down to the local copy shop every time you want extra copies of a worksheet? Do you like the idea of saving money? Perhaps an e-book is just what you are looking for!The e-books I offer contain the same text as the original book (unless otherwise noted), and they are provided as PDF files. Books formatted as PDF files retain all the original formatting, no matter what type of computer you are using. PDF files are Mac and PC compatible, and they offer some very special features, including:
PDF files are read with Acrobat Reader, which is free software by Adobe. You most likely already have it on your computer - just look in your programs folder to be sure. If you don't have it, or if you have an old version (before 5.0), you can download the very latest version free from the Adobe website - click here! It's a compact program, and very useful- I recommend it highly. What happens when you order an e-book or audio download from Everyday Education?OrderingI use Clickbank to process e-book and audio download orders securely, so when you click on the order button for an e-book, a secure order window opens. There are only two steps for Clickbank order processing, then you are returned to the Everyday Education site to download your e-book. Clickbank Step 1: Select your country and enter your zip code. Clickbank Step 2: Fill out the order form, which is as easy as ABC!
When you have completed these three steps, click on the 'Pay' button. By paying through Clickbank, you are protected by their very strong security policy and their eight-week return or replacement policy, which reinforces my own strong commitment to your satisfaction. DownloadingWhen you are returned to the Everyday Education site, you will be on a page containing download instructions. When you right-click on the download button, your computer may pop up a box that asks if you want to continue. Click "yes" or "continue." Your computer may also offer you the opportunity to select where the file is saved, or it may simply save it to the desktop. You will probably see a download status box on your screen, telling you what percentage of the file has downloaded, and how much longer it will take. The length of time depends entirely upon your computer and connection speed. Reading and PrintingWhen the download is complete, click on the file, and it will open. You're ready to read (or listen)! You can use the toolbar at the top of the Adobe Reader screen to make the text larger or smaller, so that you can read comfortably on your screen. If you want to print the book, you have a few decisions to make. You can choose to:
Once you've decided how you would like to print, just be sure you have enough paper in the printer, and go for it! You can place your printed book into a 3-ring binder, or have it spiral- or tape-bound at a copy shop. Short books can be stapled together, and you can use binder clips (available at office supply stores) along the spine for book of almost any size. For books I will just be reading, I sometimes print them half-size (5.5" x 8.5") and put them in a half-size binder. Books with reproducible pages often work better printed full-size, single-sided. You can do it just as you like! I hope you'll enjoy your e-book or audio seminar! Feel free to e-mail me if you have any difficulties with the download process. Please remember that all e-books and audio-downloads are copyrighted, just like regular books and CDs. They may not be reproduced or distributed-- they are just for use within your immediate family. Thank you so much for your integrity!
